Srinagar, Aug 6 (KNS): Chairman Muslim Conference Shabir Ahmad Dar, Chairman Islamic Political Party (JK) Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and Chairman International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Forum in a joint statement have paid glowing tributes to the Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Aziz. “He remained steadfast on the ideology of freedom and constant and practical in its efforts throughout whole life. He was the example of human and pious character. His deep hatred against slavery did not prevent him from standing against tyrant forces despite being a great political leader,” the leaders said in a statement to KNS. “Sheikh Sahib was totally uncompromising and not prone to expediency and sacrificed his life for the cause of freedom and achieved martyrdom. Sheikh Aziz’s name has been written with golden ink in Kashmir’s freedom movement history and he and other martyrs by achieving martyrdom fulfilled their obligation and now it is the responsibility of people of nation particularly the leaders to take this blood ridden movement to its logical conclusion,” they added. The leaders strongly condemned government’s decision not to allow wife and daughter of prominent pro freedom leader and Chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik to travel to Kashmir and said that depriving kinder child from the affection of her father and her mother from her life partner is the greatest sin and crime against humanity. “Indian government won’t achieve anything from such oppressive and revengeful tactics and can never stop Yasin Sahab and Kashmiri people from pursuing their mission of freedom,” they added.
