Srinagar, Aug 2 (KNS): Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Taj Mohi ud Din, today visited the SKIMS Medical College, Bemina. He reviewed the status of infrastructure and other logistic facilities at the College in the wake of recent increase in the intake capacity of State run Medical Colleges including this College whose intake capacity has been increased from 50 to 100. The Minister went round several blocks including laboratories, library, lecture halls and main hospital and later had a detailed interaction with the faculty. He impressed upon the administration to further consolidate and strengthen the logistic facilities at the college including hostel facilities, classrooms and adding more beds to the associated hospital of the college. Appreciating the efforts of the faculty, the Minister said the college has seen some bad days in past and hoped that it shines in excellence in coming days and years. Director, SKIMS, Dr. Showkat Zargar and other senior doctors accompanied the Minister during the visit.
