Valley returns to normal after three days

SRINAGAR: Life in Kashmir returned to normalcy on Monday after three days of curfew and strikes over the firing incident in Gool, Ramban that left four civilians dead.Shops, business establishments and institutions of higher learning opened after a gap of three days. Public transport also started plying on all routes of the valley.Authorities imposed curfew in all major towns of Kashmir on Friday, a day after four persons were killed in BSF firing at Gool in Ramban district.While the curfew was lifted on Sunday, normal activities remained suspended due to strike called by Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani.Sources said that large number of people including dozens of security force personnel was injured in clashes between protesters and law enforcing agencies over the past three days.
