Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation front Mohammad Yasin Malik was today restrained from offering Friday prayers as large number of police men continue to condone his residence. Yasin sahib was taken into custody by police on 1st July 2013 and after keeping him in police station for one day was shifted to his residence and placed under house arrest. Yasin sahib who is ailing and recently his medical tests also showed increase in his ailment has been confined to his small room and because of this confinement his health is fast deteriorating. Also today police and forces cordoned off the district office of JKLF in Pulwama and confined district president Javed Ahmad Bhat along with other officials of JKLF inside the office. JKLF has in strong words condemned the continued house arrest of Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik and cordoning the district office Pulwama and termed this action of police and so called rulers as dictatorial and undemocratic. JKLF has also condemned the continued oppression and spree of arrests in Sumbal, Hajin and other areas of Sonawari, continued oppression of police and other forces at Tral, harassing the shopkeepers of Maharaj Bazaar and forcing them to present themselves at police station on every day. JKLF has said that this growing repression by police and other forces in every nook and corner of Kashmir is unacceptable and condemnable.
