Srinagar: With an alternative third front in offing at the centre, talks are on between various smaller parties to forge an alternative front in Jammu and Kashmir. According to informed sources, JDU General Secretary K C Taygi is in touch with Awami National Conference (ANC) senior Vice President Muzzafar Shah to project ANC president and daughter of Late Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, Begum Khalid Shah as a Muslim leader at national level.
They said at state level ANC leadership has also been approached by non-Congress, non-BJP and non- People Democratic Party (PDP) forces to form formidable alternative front to give befitting reply to coalition experiments in the state. Panthers Party Chief Prof Bhim Singh has already opened his dialogue with ANC for drawing plan of action on common minimum programe, the sources said..
Meanwhile, with the changing political scenario at National level where non- Congress and Non- BJP alliance political parties have intensified their efforts to cobble together a Federal Front or Third Front. Samajwadi Party (SP)and Telegu Desam Party(TDP) are the largest regional outfit to declare the support to the proposal , which has received support from Trimul Congress of Mamta Banarjee from W. Bengal with Biju Janta Dal (BJD)of Navin Patnik from Odhisa and Janta Dal United(JDU) of Nitish Kumar from Bihar.
